Introduction
The primary importance of Research in the School led to the
establishment of a Research Seminar Program as a forum for staff
and visitors to present papers and discuss ideas. The Program is
part of the School's commitment to scholarship in accounting, finance
and related fields. Members of the School and research students
attend the Research Seminars. Members of other Schools within the
University, the accounting profession and those from the business
and government communities are also invited to attend.

Invitation to Submit Papers
The School welcomes the submission of papers to be considered
for presentation at the Research Seminar Program from researchers
in Australia and overseas.
For further information, please contact Sue Hrasky.
Other Information
Seminars are usually held on Friday mornings from 11.00am to 12.30pm
in the Video Link Room (Room 201 in Hobart and D131 in Launceston).
Printed copies of the presenter's paper are made available to
members of the School prior to the date of the Seminar. For other
persons attending, copies of the paper are available on the day.
Presenters should provide the School with a copy of their paper
at least 2 weeks before the date of the Seminar in order that it
can be copied and distributed to those attending.
Copies of papers are retained by the School as part of its Working
Paper Series.
A whiteboard, OHP and computer projection facility are available
to the presenter. Presenters should advise the School as to their
requirements prior to arrival.
After the Seminar, presenters from other universities are invited
to lunch with members of the School at the University Staff Club
Dining Room.
Reimbursement of Expenses
Subject to final approval by the School the reasonable expenses
incurred by presenters will be re-imbursed upon receipt of satisfactory
evidence of expenditure.
