Applying for Residency
Applications are open to continuing and new students of
the University of Tasmania or an approved Institution.
There are accommodation options in both Hobart and Launceston,
so please make sure that you select accommodation option on
the campus where you will be studying.
Demand for residential accommodation is high. There is
no guarantee of obtaining accommodation so early application
is strongly recommended. Residencies normally span the full
academic year, although a small number of one semester places
are available.
Before you apply you should:
- Check
that you are eligible for accommodation at Accommodation
Services
 ,
and
- Familiarise
yourself with the accommodation
options and types and fees
and charges.
- Please
complete the application with as much detail as possible.
You will be prompted if you miss a compulsory field.
Offers for accommodation will be made from September each
year and are subject to an acceptance fee of $80 payble
when you accept your offer.
When you have successfully completed your application you
will be given an application number and password. Don’t
lose them. You will need them to check on the progress of
your application in the future.

International Students please note: |
If you will be under 18 years of age when you arrive in Tasmania and you require the University of Tasmania to complete a CAAW form to gain your student visa, you are not elligible to apply for accommodation with Accommodation Services until you have turned
18 years of age.
