A University owned self-catered residence in an environment
conducive to both effective study practices and responsible
social development.
Leprena was established in 1985. The word ‘Leprena’
is of Aboriginal origin and means ‘Home’.
A self–catered residence
Offers self-catering facilities for every 5 to 6 students
in modern self-contained kitchens, where residents can
cater for their individual culinary needs.
Students living in Leprena provide their own food and
share the responsibility for cleaning communal areas.
Residents also have access to a variety of cafes and
eating establishments both on campus and in Mowbray
and the city.
Students need to supply their own cooking equipment.
All kitchens contain kettles, toasters, microwaves and
whitegoods.
