Simone graduated in 1990 from the University of Tasmania, with a combined degree in Economics and Law. She worked from 1990 to 2002 as a commercial and family lawyer in Hobart and is married with two children. Simone is undertaking her masters degree in mediation and conflict management at the University of South Australia.
Simone's research interests include regulatory compliance, legal education and international regulation.
Simone, together with Professor Peter Carroll and others has written a textbook on government regulation of international business.
Simone teaches in the areas of taxation, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, corporate regulation, business law and international regulation.
