I came to Australia from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia at the start of 2012 to enrol in a Bachelor of Business (Honours) at UTAS.
My research investigates Budgets of Care, a strategy for organisations to better manage their social and ecological responsibilities. I’ll collect data through interviews with for-profit and not-for-profit organisations, and the public sector. I was fortunate to have been awarded the Budgets of Care Scholarship, 2012.
I’m interested in a research career, and I liked the research focus of the honours degree. I chose to enrol at the School of Accounting and Corporate Governance because of its emphasis on corporate governance.
It’s given me more confidence. The research requires me to think critically and be a more independent learner, where I set the deadlines. I like the one-to-one sessions with my supervisor, Professor Gary O’Donovan.
