The Australian Centre for Research on Separation Science (ACROSS) is a collaborative research centre involving some 70 researchers at the University of Tasmania in Hobart, RMIT University in Melbourne and the University of Western Sydney . ACROSS undertakes research over a broad range of topics related to separation science.
The University of Tasmania node of ACROSS is continually looking for opportunities to expand by seeking new research grants. Opportunities for new PhD projects emerge on a regular basis and when available, descriptions of these projects and links to further details will appear below. Two postgraduate research position for PhD in Chemistry by research are available for Australian or international students (fee waivers may be offered to outstanding candidates). The scholarships are standard Australian postgraduate scholarships. The positions available are to work with Professor Mirek Macka on following projects:
The projects will require the candidates to be proficient in usage of CAD and LabVIEW software, therefore in particular cadidates holding a degree of BEng, MEng or similar are encouraged to apply.
