All projects funded under the Capital Management Plan and many of the minor capital projects funded by faculties or divisions need to be managed by a University project manager. Project managers undertake a range of activities including:
- Preparation of a project brief.
- Obtain information to assist with developing a project budget.
- Identify suitable consultants.
- Contract management.
- Ensure relevant standards are met.
- Work with the Project User Group (PUG) and selected consultants to deliver the project.
- Manage project expenditure.
- After Practical Completion is issued, work with consultants to ensure defects are rectified.
- Undertake post occupancy evaluations.
