Project Management of Major and Minor Capital Works and Project Information

All projects funded under the Capital Management Plan and many of the minor capital projects funded by faculties or divisions need to be managed by a University project manager. Project managers undertake a range of activities including:

  • Preparation of a project brief.
  • Obtain information to assist with developing a project budget.
  • Identify suitable consultants.
  • Contract management.
  • Ensure relevant standards are met.
  • Work with the Project User Group (PUG) and selected consultants to deliver the project.
  • Manage project expenditure.
  • After Practical Completion is issued, work with consultants to ensure defects are rectified.
  • Undertake post occupancy evaluations.
