You make an important difference to the lives of our students at the University of Tasmania. The time we spend at University is remarkable. We meet people who become lifelong friends, we learn to express thoughts and ideas in a focused manner, and we become confident in our ability to contribute to society. Your support helps make this transformative process possible.
You are changing people’s lives.
This year we hope you might consider supporting the Annual Appeal Scholarship, which is entirely funded by alumni and friends like you. These scholarships are awarded to students with a record of strong academic achievement and community engagement who otherwise would not have the means to access a University of Tasmania education.
Peter Regester is the 2014 Annual Appeal scholar. He is enrolled in the Bachelor of Nursing program. A mature aged student with a family of four young children to support on a single income, a higher education degree simply would not be possible without the Annual Appeal Scholarship – the scholarship alumni and friends like you make possible.
There are many worthy causes, and carefully directing one’s philanthropic support becomes even more critical in these challenging financial times. But we hope you will consider giving generously to the University of Tasmania Annual Appeal.
You make all the difference in the world.
Allow me to thank you for your generosity and invite you to encourage others to help the important work of the University of Tasmania continue to move forward with confidence. You make a telling difference for all of us, and we are deeply grateful.
Best regards,Young Dawkins
