Leigh Woolley is the principal of Leigh Woolley Architect and Urban Design Consultant and has nearly thirty years professional experience as an architect and urban design practitioner, author and photographer. He is the recipient of numerous professional design awards across these disciplines. His architecture has been published nationally and internationally and has been described as: ‘a story of a triumph of a meticulous practice that has worked from the Tasmanian condition’. His photography is held in state and national collections and is part of his working method. He practices from Hobart.
Leigh will be talking about the development of place-based Urban Design principals, in particular discussing the key urban design issues for the $75 million Academy of Creative Industries and Performing Arts project in Campbell Street in Hobart, which was recently awarded to WOHA, Liminal Architecture and ARUP Acoustics.
