Furniture Design students are encouraged to develop a personal design language.
They are introduced to a variety of techniques for conceptualising, developing and presenting design solutions including sketching, maintaining a journal, scale model making, full-size mock up experimentation and prototype fabrication.
Aspects of form, materials, structure, function and context are explored through an examination of historical and contemporary design practice.
