Paul Gazzola has maintained an interdisciplinary practice of more than 20 years across art, architecture, installation, performance, scenographic design, video, theory and curation. His background in carpentry, studies in architecture and extensive history of performance making in Europe and Australia provides him with a unique platform of knowledge in the ongoing creation of projects that collectively explore the connection, intervention and dynamic relationship between the body and the built form.
In his Art Forum presentation, Sites and responses, Paul will reflect on his practice as an ongoing development of ideas, investigations, attempts and outcomes across a variety of forms and genres. Paul will speak about a number of video, sculpture and socially engaged works/performances and various collaborations, outlining the themes, strategies and ideas that link, bind and mutate across each of them.
