Merrin Eirth is a profiled artist/researcher and lecturer in Contemporary Art Studio Practice at the VCA. Since 1986, she has held regular solo exhibitions and has been represented in group exhibitions in Australia and internationally. Her studio practice includes painting, drawing, printmaking and assemblage. Eirth has given press interviews and delivered conference papers on drawing, art education, and arts for health. In addition to many other professional projects, she has carried out funded collaborative work with the Australian Tapestry Workshop, Melbourne Health and the City of Melbourne. Eirth has held artist residencies in New York City and in Melbourne. She coordinated the drawing department at the VCA for eleven years and has been a studio lecturer at the VCA for 20 yrs.
Merrin Eirth currently holds a dual position at the VCA Art School as Undergraduate Coordinator and Senior Lecturer in Drawing and Printmedia.
