Three leading contemporary Tasmanian artists and teachers at the School of Art Lucy Bleach, Brigita Ozolins and James Newitt are contributing to the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (TMAG) 2011-12 contemporary art exhibition program Star/Dust, which is a year-long series of immersive art experiences that celebrates contemporary art’s ability to engage and delight visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
This series of exhibitions features newly commissioned work from the three School of Art artists and will occupy TMAG’s art gallery 4 over a period of 12 months. It is the first time TMAG’s curator and AcessArt educators have worked so closely together with artists to provide art experiences that are aesthetically rich, educationally stimulating and genuinely enjoyable for people of all ages and backgrounds.
An extended suite of associated Education Programs and Special Events will be held for each of these exhibitions, please contact TMAG for further details.
