The computer has become the digital "sketch book" of the 21st century, a tool for developing ideas, as well as refining and producing them. This is an introductory course that focuses on digital imaging technologies, techniques, and aesthetics, developing your ability to use the computer as a tool to express and communicate your ideas.
This is a practically orientated unit, working through set projects, during which you will be required to present your work for general critique. While there is be some technical demonstration and assistance to facilitate your learning, it is important to note that the focus of the unit is not on software training. Similarly assessment is based on ideas and their expressive resolution, not on technical proficiency.
