Off-Campus Study at the Faculty of Arts, University of Tasmania

(Off-campus study may also be referred to as distance education, flexible education, blended learning and external or online study.) Whatever the title, it's about giving you options for your study.

No matter where you are in the world, you can study undergraduate and postgraduate courses as an off-campus student.

Off-campus study offers you the flexibility to study at a time that suits you and your lifestyle. It means not being restricted by geographic location and not needing to physically attend a campus.

Blended learning modes of study include:

  • Off-campus study: Some programs are offered wholly or partially off-campus, including online delivery.
  • Mixed-mode attendance: It is sometimes possible for students to undertake a combination of internal and off-campus classes.
  • Part-time study: You can study part-time, which means undertaking less than a normal annual full-time load.
  • Intensive study: Some courses are available over summer, winter or spring school.

The contact point for Faculty of Arts off-campus students is the Blended Learning Unit, specifically the Support Officers. Please contact us at:
