You can start in our Chinese program as a beginner, or at a higher level if you have studied before. The program provides you with a structured pathway through Chinese language learning (written and spoken), as well as units on Chinese culture, politics and society.
In-country study is offered to undergraduate students during the spring/summer semester in Xian, China, with opportunities for scholarships available.
China is an ancient civilisation and has a booming economy, and Australia's links to China are deep and critical to our economic and social future.
The Chinese language offers unique intellectual challenges and life-changing opportunities as a degree major or a component of a degree program. It is the most-spoken language in the world and the fastest growing for language study.
