Criminology involves the study of the complex issues of crime, social harm and criminal justice, and ways of preventing and responding to criminal and anti-social behaviour.
It provides you with the opportunity to undertake cross-disciplinary study in the areas of crime and criminal justice, and is a stepping-stone to the postgraduate coursework program in criminology and corrections.
It equips you with the fundamental knowledge, skills and capabilities required to pursue a career in, among other areas, criminal justice, policing and corrections.

Undergraduate courses with a specialisation in Criminology:
Criminology can also been undertaken as student electives from other courses across the University of Tasmania and is a complimentary area of study for students undertaking vocationally oriented degree programs such as Law.
Postgraduate courses with a specialisation in Criminology and Corrections:
