If you are planning on studying or have an interest in ancient civilisations, English, history or European languages, then you will benefit from learning Latin.
No previous knowledge of the language is required, as the units offered in this course introduce you to the Latin language and then offer further advanced studies for interested students.

Undergraduate courses with a specialisation in Latin:
Latin can also been undertaken as student electives from other courses across the University of Tasmania and is a complimentary area of study for students undertaking vocationally oriented degree programs such as Law and Science.
Postgraduate courses with a specialisation in Latin:
