You’ll be introduced to the essential technologies, terminologies and practices associated with an industry standard contemporary recording environment. Students develop a number of skills, from specific mic placement and positioning techniques in relation to specific music/sound genres, mastering, duplication, file formatting and cross platform applications, advanced audio post-production techniques for TV, radio and film, including 7:1 surround-mixing and processing techniques, location field recording, film nomenclature and terminology, as well as advanced audio and music-specific electronic theory.
