Designed, firstly, to develop aural/theoretical knowledge and, secondly, to apply these skills to enhance understanding of a range of activities that explore practical music activities. The first four units of study develop aural skills and broaden the students’ understanding of structures and procedures underlying tonal music. The final four units require students to apply their knowledge as they develop skills of conducting, directing and orchestrating practical music activities.
