This website has been developed to provide staff and students with answers to frequently asked questions regarding the changes occurring within the Faculty of Arts.
The Faculty of Arts has a proud history of achievement in teaching, research and contribution to public debate. In order to meet the growing challenges in the higher education sector and build a reputation as a high-quality education provider, however, the Faculty needs to evolve its approaches to both its structure and its curriculum. The aim is to ensure the Faculty is well positioned to create a vibrant and sustainable future.
The changes within the Faculty cover two key areas: a comprehensive process of curriculum renewal and a streamlined organisational restructure, so that the Faculty can meet the needs of the market, and support academic staff to devote to teaching and research, rather than carrying significant administrative duties as part of their roles.
These changes are designed to align with the University’s strategic plan, Open to Talent.
