The Faculty of Arts offers a broad range of
flexible undergraduate and postgraduate programs in an academic
setting that draws on outstanding natural landscapes, fascinating
historical sites and lively social activity.
Whether you study in the humanities and social sciences or
in the visual and performing arts, you can be certain of receiving
a high-quality university education, enhanced by Tasmania’s
considerable cultural resources. During your studies, you
can also choose to participate in activities that place you
at the centre of contemporary life: you can engage in lively
debate in a local philosophy café, develop skills in
a community radio station, broaden your horizons with an overseas
study exchange, and be stimulated by poetry festivals, theatre
and music performances and topical visual art exhibitions. |

The Faculty of Arts recognizes that it is important for you
to develop a capacity for critical analysis and reflection,
as well as the flexibility to adapt to a fast-changing world.
We nurture an academic environment for students that balances
solid teaching expertise with support and encouragement to
explore new ideas. Our programs will provide you with a set
of skills, knowledge and awareness that will be invaluable
for your future personal and professional development.
There are ten Schools within the Faculty that offer a range
of undergraduate programs. In addition to our single degrees
undergraduate programs, we also offer a substantial number
of combined degree programs. If you have completed an undergraduate
degree, we also provide a number of postgraduate study opportunities
by research and coursework.
