The Faculty of Arts has embarked on a review of its structure
The Faculty of Arts has embarked on a review of its structure in order to gain a clear understanding of its current arrangements, opportunities and challenges, and from that understanding, to develop a model for the future that supports our students and academics
In accordance with the project plan, the Faculty of Arts Structure Review is moving into a new phase. Phases One & Two of the Review saw KPMG (the consultants undertaking the Review) analyse and interpret the data that were provided to them, and from those data, develop profiles of the Faculty Office and Schools.
On 21st December, KPMG presented a whole of Faculty Profile to the Dean, Heads of Schools and Deputy Heads of Schools.
With this, the Review moves into a new phase, in which KPMG will be using data collected from within UTAS, as well as from a number of other universities, to develop options for structuring the Faculty of Arts.
It is expected that KPMG will present those options to the Dean and the Review Steering Committee in February 2012. From that, the Dean will form a Proposal which will be made available for comment as part of a Formal Consultation Process.
We will be advising Faculty Staff of the commencement of the Formal Consultation Process on this website and via email.
Until then, thank you for your contributions to the Review.
Regards,
Noel.
