A free public event presented by Dr Fan Liang, Lecturer, School of Management, University of Tasmania

Start Date

23rd Oct 2018 5:30pm

University of Tasmania, Centenary Building, Harvard Lecture Room 2

Tasmania presents a range of opportunities that are attractive to Chinese foreign direct investment (FDI). However, Chinese investors are facing a number of difficulties and challenges in investment and business operation in Tasmania largely because of significant differences in the socio-cultural, regulatory, and economic environment between Tasmania and China. This seminar will discuss challenges and opportunities posed to Chinese investors in Tasmania using a qualitative approach.

Dr Fan Liang is a Lecturer in Management at the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics, University of Tasmania. His interest in research lies in foreign direct investment, cross-institutional and cross-cultural business behaviour, and business activities across Australia and China.

This event is a joint lecture with the Australia China Business Council Tasmania branch
and the Asia Institute Tasmania
