AIRC's Small Business Baseline Survey completed
The Australian Innovation and Research Centre (AIRC) has conducted a baseline survey of smaller businesses in Tasmania with 5 to 50 full-time equivalent employees. The survey collected information on two key themes: small business internet usage and the cost of complying with government regulations.
As part of a collaborative project with the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and the Arts (DEDTA), the AIRC recently completed a baseline survey of smaller businesses in Tasmania with 5 to 50 full-time employees.
The survey collected data on two key themes: small business internet usage and the perceived burden of government regulations.
The baseline survey was conducted over November and December 2011, and the data processing was completed in the first half of 2012. Survey reports have been submitted to DEDTA (Data on small business internet usage in Tasmania: report from the 2011 baseline survey; Regulatory burden for smaller businesses in Tasmania: report from the 2011 baseline survey). The results with be published in the second half of 2012.
