Peter J. Georgelas is a Research Associate with the AIRC. Peter received his first doctorate (Sc.D. in Management Systems) from the University of New Haven in 1996. He also holds the following degrees: Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (Global Business Management), MBA, Master of Science (Computer Information Systems), and Bachelor of Science (Computer & Information Studies).
He is a former Associate Professor having taught over thirty separate courses in Operations Management, Management, and Computer Science departments of various universities in the United States. He is a founding Member of the Curriculum Development Committee on E-Commerce for Harvard University Extension School's Graduate Certificate Program in E-Commerce and the creator of a new course in the program, Developing E-Commerce Models. In addition, as a Senior Consultant in the Management & Technology Services sector with over twenty years of experience, he specializes in business process reengineering and systems thinking for both the public and private sector.
Peter is now pursuing a PhD in Management at UTas with research focused on public policy and complexity analysis. His other research interests include: Organizational Behavior & Change, Socio-Technical Systems Modeling, Innovation and The Strategic Uses of Technology, State-Level Economic Development, and Virtual Organizations.
