Anthony Arundel joined the AIRC as Professor of Innovation in April 2010. He was previously a Senior Researcher for 18 years at UNU-MERIT, a joint research institute of the United Nations University and the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands. He also worked at the OECD in Paris between February 2007 and June 2008 as a Senior Policy Analyst with responsibility for the Bioeconomy 2030 project. While at the AIRC, he will continue to maintain a position with UNU-MERIT in order to help AIRC researchers to take part in collaborative research projects in Europe.
Anthony's research interests cover the innovation strategies of firms, knowledge flows between firms and the public science sector, intellectual property rights, innovation indicators, environmental health, eco-innovation, and biotechnology.
