With a DPhil from Oxford, Robin spent the early part of his career as a technical innovator within large manufacturing organisations in the UK. He later moved to Australia, joining an R&D start-up company prior to becoming the Manager of Innovation and Commercial Development at the University of Tasmania. He now consults widely in the areas of Intellectual Property and Commercialisation, in the public and private sectors, as well as teaching a wide range of innovation-related units through the AIRC. He has a wealth of experience in the field of innovation and is co-inventor on more than 12 patent families.
