Theory of Music and Musicianship
The Federal Board has authorised a change to the Theory of Music and Musicianship syllabuses.
The change affects First Grade–Fourth Grade in both syllabuses in the area of ‘Memory’.
The effect of the change is to remove the requirement to memorise folk songs. Memorisation of folk songs will no longer form part of either written or aural examinations in Theory of Music or Musicianship.
