Business students go to water

A group of hardy Elizabeth College students braved a cold, drizzly Hobart day to spend an afternoon with Roaring 40s Kayaking on the water and hearing about the challenges and opportunities of running an adventure tourism business in Tasmania.

Part of a new Business Education Partnership between the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics and Elizabeth College which aims to increase engagement with and pathways to business education, the business school arranged a series of industry tours for the students in the first half of the year which also included a visit to Incat and to Rokeby High School to investigate opportunities for social enterprise.

The Partnership is ongoing and it is hoped will become a model for collaboration between the business school and other colleges in Tasmania.
