PhD student recognised for academic excellence

We are proud to announce that a Chinese PhD student from the Tasmanian School of Business and Economics is among 500 worldwide to be recognised by the Chinese government for outstanding academic achievement. Xuesong Bai is researching the effect of product information cues on consumer purchasing.The students have each received the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad. The award has recognised outstanding academic achievement across different fields each year since 2003.Student winners are selected by experts from the host country and China.Mr Yumin Song, the Chinese Consul-General in Australia, presented the students with their awards at a ceremony in Melbourne.
