On behalf of the Faculty of Business and the School of Accounting and Corporate Governance at the University of Tasmania I am pleased and excited that we are hosting and organising the 20th Annual Australasian Tax Teachers Association conference in Hobart in January 2008.

This long standing annual conference is a must on the calendar for tax teachers and its longevity speaks volumes for its importance.  The 2008 conference boasts an extremely impressive list of keynote speakers, including the Commissioner of Taxation and visiting experts from the USA and Europe, as well as a Justice from the Federal Court of Australia.

The conference venue on the University Campus, John Fisher College, and setting in Hobart is truly spectacular and being held in January enables delegates to sample the best that Hobart and Tasmania has to offer, be it wining and fine dining, wilderness bushwalking or water sports; and all within 15-20 minutes of the conference!  I look forward to a great conference and welcoming you in person to our University.
