1990 - Graduated cum laude in Law at the Federico II University of Naples, Italy
1998 - IFA Research Associate at IBFD-Amsterdam, Netherlands
2000 - Doctoral degree in 2000 cum dignitate publicationis at the University of Genoa, Italy. The doctoral thesis was awarded an honourable mention at the IFA Mitchell B. Carroll Prize

In the past decade he has been extensively lecturing and reporting at international conferences on international and European tax law in Europe, North and South America.

Member of the Editorial Board of Intertax, as well as of other international tax law reviews in Europe and South America. Editor of two books and author of two books, as well as about 70 articles on international and European tax issues, written and/or translated in Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Rumanian and Russian.

His current research activity includes a 5-year project on ‘The Impact of European law on the relations with third countries in the field of direct taxes’, which was the first to be granted the EURYI award of the European Science Foundation in the area of law.

He is fluent in seven European languages (Italian, English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and Dutch) and has basic notions of Russian.
