Careers in Tourism

Tourism is one of the major industries of the 21st Century. It is an industry with long term growth prospects, worldwide. At the University of Tasmania , professional skills acquired through the study of tourism and complementary majors will equip graduates for a variety of roles. Many areas for careers in tourism are well established including those in niche areas as well as those in global organisations. These include, but are not limited to: ecotourism, sport and adventure, events and festivals, business and conventions, rural and regional tourism and the hospitality area including hotels, airlines and cruise ships.
