Information for
interns
Overview
The Corporate Internship program offers second and third year tourism and business students an opportunity to use the skills and knowledge acquired during study at the Faculty of Business in the workplace. The internships in Tasmanian public or private sector organisations will closely relate to the major studied. The one-semester long projects will be equivalent to either one-, two- or four-units (for Bachelor of Business students), and contribute to the degree structure. Please note that the advice of the major coordinator needs to be sought before applying for a corporate internship.
Undertaking a corporate internship is designed to deepen and broaden your skills, and provide a link between university studies and the workplace. It is essential to apply early for a corporate internship, to give the Corporate Internship Coordinator time to find a sponsoring organisation that matches the needs of the intern. Although every effort to find a place will be made, in some circumstances this may not be possible.
Undertaking a corporate internship is likely to be one of the most valuable and rewarding parts of your university study.
