Overview
Corporate Internship provides organisations with some of UTas’s emerging student leaders to undertake a project of relevance to the organisation. The organisation is able to negotiate the timing of the internship, student selection process, type of project and profile of the student intern, including their year of study, degree major and time commitment. The organisation’s commitment is to mentor the student and assess their performance, during, and at the end of the project. No wage is paid to the student during the internship.
The student will gain an opportunity to enrich their learning experience with a project that is of direct relevance to their degree major and area of interest. The corporate internship will also provide the students with a valuable opportunity to experience team dynamics and the workplace.
By selecting a Corporate Internship unit from the many units available to them in the degree program, students in the Faculty of Business will have demonstrated their enthusiasm for the opportunity to participate in a workplace project. Corporate Internship units, like other undergraduate units, contribute towards the degree structure of students.
Supporting and guiding future business and tourism leaders is likely to be a rewarding experience for internship sponsors. For students, participating in a corporate internship project is likely to shape their future.
Please join with us in developing our future leaders and thinkers.
