The Tasmania Scholarships Program provides students with significant financial and academic support to study at the University of Tasmania. Awards are offered in a wide range of disciplines and selection is based on academic merit and/or financial need. They are available to students studying at undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate coursework levels.
There are more than 80 scholarships that business students may apply for, this presents a significant opportunity to help fund your learning experiences with the Faculty of Business.
Country Club, Federal Hotels’ Launceston tourism, conference and entertainment complex, fund this scholarship. The scholarship will support a business student studying at the Launceston campus of the University who is entering the third year of their course. Applicants must be majoring in accounting, marketing or tourism. The recipient will also receive support for a work project during third year and potential employment upon graduation.
Indigenous Access Scholarships will provide payment to indigenous higher education students, particularly those from rural or remote areas of Australia who need to relocate to take up an undergraduate course or an approved enabling course. An indigenous student who receives an Indigenous Access Scholarship may also have access to a continuing Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarship (CECS) and, where eligible, a Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship (CAS). In addition, some CECS and CAS for indigenous students will extend for five years, allowing students to receive funding to undertake the University Preparation Program or another enabling program. These scholarships are funded by the Australian Government.
Searson Buck, Tasmania’s No1 provider of human resource services, will support a business student intending to major in human resources.
Scholarships are also available for students who wish to undertake postgraduate degrees by research. Please visit the Graduate Research Office.
