The Master of Professional Accounting aims to give students who possess a degree in an area other than accounting the opportunity to gain the skills required to train as accountants and be eligible for the membership of professional accounting bodies.
Accounting skills are in high demand in the business and corporate world, embracing areas such as finance, marketing, banking and information systems. Such skills are also increasingly important to groups performing an overview function, such as Directors.
This program has been designed to help MPAS graduates bridge the gap between business graduates and employers. These units aim to equip graduates with some of the non-technical skills and abilities that employers seek. The units are highly innovative and practical in nature, and are at the cutting edge of the newly-forged relationships between the university and employer groups, on both a local and international scale.
For more information about the first two units, introduced in 2011, see the Business Fundamentals Flyer (PDF 78.3KB).
