Description

This degree is designed for students who wish to talior their business studies to their personal interests and professional needs. There are no speficied core units and students are able to customise their degree to be specific to their career and/or profession.

It is also a pathway for students willing to complete a Masters in Business or a Master of Business Administration (depending on subjects selected).

The Graduate Certificate in Business requires successful completion of four postgraduate business units selected by the student. There are no core units required for study. 

There is no single, relevant, professional body or career pathway, although it is anticipated that this course will assist students in gaining membership in bodies such as the Australian Human Resources Institute and the Australian Marketing Institute, depending upon the sequence of units chosen.

Successfully completed postgraduate units in other courses at the University of Tasmania or another approved tertiary institution may be credited towards the degree. Credit is also available for some qualifications attained through professional bodies, where these have been assessed as equivalent to postgraduate study. Please apply for credit at the time of application for admission.

Master of Business, Master of Business (Specialisation)

Students can also articulate to the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and then the Masters of Business, Administration depending on units chosen.
