Entry Requirements: Academic entry requirements: Australian bachelor degree or equivalent.
Alternative entry: Non-graduates with at least five years relevant works or community experience.

Description

Designed for students who have previously graduated with an undergraduate degree and wish to pursue further academic studies across a range of areas. As the degree is flexible it provides knowledge and skills to assist in the development of specific careers, professions or personal educational interests by offering an individually tailored program.

Specific knowledge and skills developed will depends in the sequence of units undertaken which may be chosen from one particular discipline or by sampling units form several discipline areas.

Students are required to complete four UTAS postgraduate units of their choice.

Career opportunities will depend on the units and the discipline areas studied. 

Successfully completed postgraduate units in other courses at the University of Tasmania or another approved tertiary institution may be credited towards the degree. Credit is also available for some qualifications attained through professional bodies, where these have been assessed as equivalent to postgraduate study. Please apply for credit at the time of application for admission.

Students who have satisfactorily completed the requirements for the Graduate Certificate may proceed to other courses for which they have the necessary qualifications and prerequisites including, for example, the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration.
