Location: Hobart, Distance*
*Internationla students may only undertake distance studies if they are in thir home country or a country other than Australia.
Duration: 2.5 years for the workplace project stream, otherwise 3 years. Only available part-time* *Part-time studies are not available to international students.
Intake: February, July
Entry Requirements: Academic entry requirements: Australian Bachelor degree or equivalent .
Work experience entry requirements: Two years relevant work experience.

The Master of Business Administration (Health Management) provides students with the relevant skills required to further their business knowledge for management and leadership within the health sector.
The specific educational objectives of the course are:
Students can also choose to complete workplace project or a research pathway within this degree.
Students are required to successfully complete eight core units, and then successfully complete four elective units, or a workplace component*, or a
research pathway**.
* This option is available to approved students only and will generally only be offered where there is a group of students from the same organisation. Projects may be completed individually or in groups of two.
** This is the pathway for students wishing to go on to a Research Higher Degree. A Distinction average or above in core units is required for entry.
Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to successfully assume a range of leadership roles in health services in a wide variety of settings.
Health Managers will be able to undertake a pro-active role in advancing their organisation.
Successfully completed postgraduate units in other courses at the University of Tasmania or another approved tertiary institution may be credited towards the degree. Credit is also available for some qualifications attained through professional bodies, where these have been assessed as equivalent to postgraduate study. Please apply for credit at the time of application for admission.
