The application and enrolment for units in postgraduate coursework at UTAS can be done through the web, and consists of three steps:
Whether you intend to take one unit or a whole degree, you must first receive an offer for a place in a course. You can go directly to the UTAS Admissions website and apply online.
Postgraduate coursework degrees in Business are normally articulated. This means that each degree has a Graduate Certificate, perhaps a Graduate Diploma, and a Master's level. Applicants should apply for the level for which they have the entry requirements.
If you have work experience but no Bachelor's degree: you must apply for the Graduate Certificate in the program you have chosen. For example, to do an MBA, apply for the Graduate Certificate in Management.
If you have a Bachelor's degree, you can usually apply for the Master's level course. Each course has its own entry requirements.
If there is a work experience requirement for your course: please include a CV with your application. This can be pasted into the Supporting Statement section of the application. If we require further information, we will contact you, but a CV is usually sufficient.
If you have a previous degree from UTAS: we have a record of this and will not require copies of your testamur or transcripts.
If you have a previous degree from another institution: UTAS will request an electronic copy of this qualification. However, please note that it sometimes takes several weeks for these to arrive: you may wish to forward a certified copy to UTAS with your application to speed up the process.
Successfully completed units in other courses at the University of Tasmania or another approved tertiary institution may be credited towards the degree. Credit is also available for some qualifications attained through professional bodies, where these have been assessed as equivalent to postgraduate study. Please apply for credit at the time of application for admission.

So long as all required information is received with your application, you should receive an offer within about a week. Offers are usually available online on Friday afternoons, and a paper copy is mailed on Friday afternoon also. Information about how to accept is available with the offer, and acceptance can be done online through Admissions.
Once you have accepted your offer, the university will generate a username and password and send these to you. This will allow you to enrol. If you are a former UTAS student the computer may decide that you already have a username and password, and not generate a new one. If this happens, and you do not know your previous details please contact Service.Desk@utas.edu.au to find out your username and ask for a new password.
You are able to enrol in units a few days after you receive your username and password. Enrolments are done online through the eStudentCentre. Go to UTAS Current Students page and select the eStudentCentre. There is a tour you can take to familiarise yourself with the system before you enrol. Enrolments are done through the Manage Your Enrolment link.
Information about course requirements and unit availability can be found in the course planners under the Current Student Resources page
