Entry Requirements: Tasmanian Polytechnic/TAFE Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management or equivalent.

The Bachelor of Business Administration (Tourism Management) consists of 14 units of credit that students gain from a completed Advanced Diploma in Tourism Management or its equivalent, as well as 10 specified University of Tasmania units which are studied over 3 semesters (spring/summer, Semester 1 and 2). This degree provides an opportunity for students to combine an advanced achievement in tourism studies with a focused study of complementary business units.
This degree has been designed to produce future leaders within the tourism industry. This degree provides students with the broadest possible career options by combining essential business knowledge and expertise which encompasses areas such as accounting and finance, marketing, economics, human resources, international business and management – with specialised tourism studies. Students will develop practical and specific workplace skills as well as essential management and leadership abilities that will enable them to succeed in any area of the tourism industry.

There are no specific prerequisite subjects for this degree but success in at the senior secondary level English and Business Studies would be advantageous.
