UTAS has a very limited number of parking spaces available on each campus. Students, staff and visitors are permitted to park in designated car parking areas only. UTAS parking regulations are contained in the University by-laws.

Some spaces are reserved for specific uses such as commercial vehicle loading zones, University service vehicles or school vehicles and are not available for general parking. Other areas may have time limits. It is the responsibility of the vehicle driver to note all signs and park accordingly as it may be necessary to make changes or close areas at any time.
Some campus permit areas are restricted to staff located at those campuses. Currently, restrictions apply at the Conservatorium of Music and the Centre for the Arts in Hobart, and Inveresk campus in Launceston. Signs or special permits govern parking in these areas. Standard staff permits are not valid on these campuses.
Bike lockers are available for hire on the Sandy Bay campus. Eight vertical bike lockers are located on the Dobson Road side of the Morris Miller Library building and 6 horizontal bike lockers with electric bike charging points are located between Alexander Street and Dobson Road (across from the Engineering main entrance). The cost for hire is $30 per annum or $20 for semester 2 only. A deposit of $100 is required. To hire a locker:
