The following parking permits are available to University staff and students. Some permits can be applied for via the online permit application system. Others must be applied for via a hard copy form.
Staff parking permits are available to current full-time, part-time, casual and honorary University of Tasmania staff only.
Please note that changes to University parking arrangements were approved by the University Council on 31 May 2013. Staff are able to purchase a parking permit for the period 1 July 2013 to 23 February 2014. To allow time for processing of semester 2 parking permit applications, the expiry date for semester 1 staff parking permits will be extended from 30 June until 30 July 2013.
Staff parking permit prices for the period 1 July 2013 to 23 February 2014 are:

* Not including CBD
^Hobart CBD parking includes the Medical Science Precinct, the Domain, the Conservatorium and the Tasmanian College of the Arts, Hunter Street.
Note: The cost of permits for fractional staff will be based on their substantive gross annual salary at the time of application as opposed to their classification, with the threshold maintained at the salary applicable to the top of the HEO 4 classification range (currently $56,483 per annum).
Casual staff (including full-time PhD candidates) cannot apply for a parking permit using the online parking application system. Instead, casual staff must complete the casual staff permit application form and have it signed by their head of school/section.
Students enrolled at the Conservatorium of Music (Tasmanian College of the Arts) are eligible to apply for a permit which entitles the permit holder to search for a parking space in the respective voucher controlled car park only, and in spaces as indicated by blue road markers.
This permit is available to Conservatorium of Music (Tasmanian College of the Arts) students only. The permit allows students to purchase vouchers for display in UTAS voucher parking bays outside the Conservatorium of Music. To apply for a student parking permit, fill in the Conservatorium of Music student parking permit application form (PDF 34.5KB) and submit the form to the security office at the Conservatorium.
Students enrolled at the Tasmanian College of the Arts at Hunter Street are eligible to apply for a permit which entitles the permit holder to search for a parking space in the respective voucher controlled car park only, and in spaces as indicated by blue road markers.
This permit is available to Tasmanian College of the Arts, Hunter Street students only. The permit allows students to purchase vouchers for display in UTAS voucher parking bays outside the Tasmanian College of the Arts, Hunter Street. To apply for a student parking permit, fill in the Tasmanian College of the Arts Hunter Street student parking permit application form (PDF 30.5KB) and submit the form to the security office at the Tasmanian College of the Arts.
