Stalls are usually set up by affiliated student clubs and societies as part of their orientation activities at the beginning of the academic semester. Requests are also received from time to time from external organisations for purpose of fundraising. Please view the Stall booking form (PDF 162.9KB) for information on stall bookings and conditions.
In line with University's property strategy, Koonya Field Station is due to be sold. No further bookings for this site will be taken. If you have an existing booking for the Koonya Field Station, please contact Amanda Strickland, Property Administrative Officer.
UTAS has a number of outdoor venues listed below that are available for use by staff, students and approved public organisations. For information on outdoor venue booking procedures and conditions of use, please download the relevant booking form under the listed venue.

The Amphitheatre is not available for use until further notice.
The Hytten Hall barbecue site is in a bush setting near Hytten Hall on the Sandy Bay campus. The site includes seating and tables for approximately 60 people and is available for use by University staff, affiliated student clubs and societies, and other approved applicants.
There is a power outlet that is activated for booked events. The University will provide firewood for the barbecue but at least one week’s notice must be provided.

The University Quarry is located at Proctors Road near the University's Sandy Bay campus and may be used for activities such as abseiling and rock climbing.
The Quarry is surrounded by a security fence and gate. For legal reasons relating to the University's potential exposure to negligence claims, approval to enter the enclosure or to use the facility must be obtained from the Executive Director of Commercial Services & Development.

In accordance with University by-laws, a person shall not distribute or consume any liquor on University land except where a licence or permit has been obtained under the Liquor and Accommodation Act 1990, or where a liquor permit has been obtained from Campus Services.
Liquor permits will not be approved for functions which may disrupt the teaching and research activities of the University, or which may in any way embarrass the University. The liquor permit may be altered or revoked at any time by the University.
Liquor permits will be granted on the condition that:
When liquor is to be sold, including times when an entrance fee to a function is charged and liquor is made available, a license under the provision of the Liquor and Accommodation Act 1990, must be obtained from the Licensing Board in addition to the liquor permit.
