Developing Creative Problem-solving Skills in the Entrepreneurship Program

Colin Jones

School of Management

What we are trying to do is create a learning environment where students themselves are faced with an ongoing process to solve problems that relate to themselves, … within groups, .. and with the class as a whole.

Within the Entrepreneurship major, students engage in a wide range of activities that have at their core the creative solution of problems and application of theory to the real world. Colin's approach to teaching is very much a student-centred one – in collaborative groups, students manage their own learning, and share and peer assess their understandings.
