Overview

Dr Elaine Stratford, Senior Lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning & Sustainable Cities, led student-centred research projects on the legislation of skateboarding and the construction of Hobart's skate park for the Tasmanian Government from 1998-2000. Skateboarding provided Elaine with '... a series of issues upon which I can talk about environmental sustainability, ... young people in the city, ... social sustainability.'
