Address by former High Court Justice, The Honorable Michael Kirby AC CMG to the 2011 Australian Historical Association Conference on 5 July at the UTAS Inveresk campus, Launceston.
Introduced by the President of the Australian Historical Society, Professor Marilyn Lake, The Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG addresses the Conference, stating that Australia is the only advanced democracy that does not have a Bill or Charter of Rights. He explains why and then argues why the country needs one.
This is followed by a question and answer session wtih the audience (questions from the audience are presented as text in the video).
