The capital project process at the University requires the review and endorsement of project proposals by a number of committees. A project must be endorsed at each relevant committee, culminating with the approval of the annual budget, which incorporates the University’s capital plan, by Council in November of each year.
The committees involved in the approval process include:
- Vice-Chancellor’s Annual Review (VCAR)
- Built Environment and Infrastructure Committee (BEIC)
- Capital Infrastructure Committee (CIC)
- Senior Management Team (SMT)
- Finance Committee
- University Council
